There is a great art gallery right as you enter the lobby with awesome paintings by local artists. The hotel is old but definitely has a character. Also, new owners were working on renovation when we were there. More like a motel, but with charm and character. Nice grounds. Skiing opportunities at Taos Ski Valley are 34 km away. We arrived to a very nicely appointed room that was clean and cozy. A seemingly new a/c heating unit. Bathroom was very nice. We used the stairs, but not sure if there was an elevator. The breakfast was fine, though no extras. The Lobby and breakfast area, as well as the exterior were dated and unadorned.
