Castara Beach Accommodation
The tennis courts were debris ridden and the tennis nets were hanging off the line and falling apart. We tried to hit golf balls and the attendant had to go retrieve balls one by one to provide a basketful. Hit water in bathroom was scarce. Pool areas were not lit up at night as shown in online photos. Restaurants were closed for dinner even though signs said they were open. The beach which was shown and promoted as the best longest walking beach in Tobago was not as it was explained. There was construction on the beach and we were told we could not walk there. We were told it wasn't safe by some, it was private property by others, and to go around the construction and walk from there. We walked to the north side of the resort to access the beach for a walk and the grounds and buildings were in awful condition and looked abandoned and pathways were blocked by trees and branches and garbage ridden. We were so disappointed in our choice of this resort which was barely a resort at all. We travelled three days and 4 flights to get there.

Golden Apple villa Located in Castara in the Tobago region, Golden Apple villa features a balcony and city views. The air-conditioned accommodation is 300 metres from Little Bay Beach, and guests benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. Our stay at Golden Apple was great. Bruce is such a nice host and all his staff will do the impossible for you to have a great time. Castara is a quite and nice little town. It is perfect for someone who is not looking for a turistic place. Every day is very relaxed. You can buy fresh fish from the market and cook it at home. You can walk easily to the beach and spend your day swimming, snorkeling, tanning or just hanging around enjoying a nice local beer. Right by the beach there is a bar and there are a couple of local restaurants who can cook you local food. We rented one day a car and we went discover the island. It is super easy to talk to locals and to see their way of life. Another day we went for a boat tour. Please note this is the paradise for someone looking nature, and not a crowd and turistic place.

You can hear the sea from your room. It was really the most relaxing and beautiful place I've ever stayed. Alibaba's Seabreeze Providing free WiFi, Alibaba's Seabreeze is located on the beachfront in Castara. The property features lake views and is 23 km from Diamond. The apartment is equipped with 1 separate bedroom and includes a kitchen with a microwave, fridge and dining area. The question is what didn't we like. Waking up to the sound of the ocean right outside your door, sparkling blue water, private was simply heavenly. The beautiful and rustic cabin was so clean well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was very comfy and all the towels and sheets were so clean and fresh smelling. Our host, Stephanie contacted us before we arrived which was great and greeted us on arrival! She was so warm and welcoming and provided us with anything we ran out of or extras that were required. She even accommodated our date change with no additional cost! All in all a perfect and private getaway!
