Husband is not much of a care taker. A senior center would be much better for us. I am concerned about falling, medical issues, making sure they get to doctors 's a huge huge responsibility to care for someone and do it right. We've had to parent without support for a long time now. It's been hard. You hear stories of grandmas and grandpas who can't get enough and maybe my expectations were dumb. It's so bad that my kids don't have anyone to put on their emergency contacts but me and my husband. There is some resentment built up in me because of that. We've addressed this with them, and their response is that their parents never watched their kids. According to accounts of my DH and BIL, their grandma watched them quite often. Whatever. I guess they can say what they want. So like anyway that's where I am with it. Hopefully I came off less judgey, but I know I'm still pretty judgey and maybe I am the just no.
