So I have a conditional offer and applied for the Accommodation Award and the Wardlaw scheme scholarships that I was eligible for. While there aren't that many scholarships available, they say that applicants with less household income are always preferred. I've heard that St Andrews is mostly a rich people school, and our annual household income is around a single person's minimum wage in Scotland, so maybe there won't be as much competition between undergrads. Has anybody here successfully applied for a scholarship issued by St Andrews/do you know somebody who has? If yes, was it because of your annual household income, or was it just low enough to make you eligible but you feel like you got it due to acing your PS? I don't think I'd be able to live in St Andrews without getting one, so I'm assessing my chances here, as well as thinking of future plans. I get the results at April 30 and have to make the decision on UCAS at May 6.
