So my entire school experience up until high school gradation was just going through the motions. I didn't even bother to attend the graduation ceremony. I had no fond memories, no friendships, no benefit of finding a career path, I just wanted it to be over. I had recurring nightmares for years after I graduated. I'd dream I had to go back and I would wake up screaming. Years later when the nightmares finally subsided I tried college. My goal was to get a job and be able to live independently from welfare. But even though the accommodations were more advanced - someone typing out on a laptop screen what the teacher was saying live - it still wasn't enough for both my vision and hearing loss. I could do well enough at text classes. But had extreme difficulty with math. A weak point of the accommodations was that they couldn't cover visual aspects like equations and graphs, instead writing those out as "[on board]", rendering the notes useless. I tried hard to find ways around the math weakness.

My (shared house) rent is currently about 300 euros a month and I would be able to keep the accommodation without studying. The past few years have been very wasteful in my eyes, I spent one year working and saved little money, spend most of it, and I feel like raking up more debt might not be worth it. So I'm thinking about quitting college. If I quit now, I won't be able to start another study and get full student finance cause I already 'studied' for 4 years. A little about me: I went to japan last year (before corona) and during my time living out of my backpack I fell in love with travelling, I would love to do it for the rest of my life. My current skills are programming and data processing, but I'd love to combine it with tourism. I also like the idea of teaching english as a second language but I feel like a lot of people are already doing that. English also isn't my first language, and a lot of schools outside my own country seem to have that requirement. I'm proficient in graphic design and website design but I don't always enjoy doing it.
