Front Desk: Efficient/Friendly Pool/Pool Bar: Definitely a highlight. We sat at the pool 2 days instead of the beach which we typically prefer because it was only upper 60s and windy. We lucked out as the hotel blocked the wind and we were able to enjoy the FL sunshine despite 15+mile an hour winds. Great food and drinks here. We actually ate at the pool grille 3 times. Delicious! Highly recommend for lunch! Overall: Highly recommend. No real complaints and I can be a picky traveler! We typically take a Caribbean vacation around this time of year, but with Covid decided to stay in the US. We are already planning a trip back to this hotel next year. Even though this is on Sand Key and the bay and not the beach, after looking at all the other Clearwater hotels, I'm not sure we'd stay anywhere else! Definitely a little more low key than Clearwater proper but the low key vibe was perfect for us! Oh - problem we did have was another couple in a room near us on the balcony. They were smoking on their balcony (not allowed).

Lazy days can be spent exploring the beach or enjoying family-friendly amenities at the beautiful Sand Key Park, a 95-acre preserve complete with a nature trail and beach cabanas. There's plenty of chances to get out on the water, too, with dolphin watching, sightseeing, luncheon and fishing cruises all readily available at the harbor. Back on land, checking out the artisan crafts and street performances at the daily Sunsets at Pier 60 festival is a lovely end to a day.
