The first event announcement for freshers week was posted today and I can't even explain how excited I am. It looks fab! On Saturday 21st September, Freshers is kicking off with some Official Welcome Parties at the RGU:Union and Tiger Tiger nightclub. Then on Sunday 22nd, there will be some great DJ sets I'm looking forward to. There will be a Sister Bliss, Faithless set which I'm positive will be fab! That is also at Tiger Tiger. Then there's the weekly Sunday Social at RGU:Union. That should be pretty good. On the 24th I'll have my course induction at 11:30am. I am really buzzing for this. I can't wait to meet my lecturers and fellow students. I'm so hyper just thinking about it. This takes me a tiny step closer to getting my degree! (Or that's how I look at it. ) Bzzzzzzzzzz. Also on the 24th the RGU:Union are holding a UV Traffic Light Rave, which I'm sure will be loads of fun. I'm assuming, like any other "traffic light" event, this is where each student gets a band; green, amber or red, and the colour of your band lets the other students know who's single and who's not, and who's looking for what!

When you aren't busy getting lost in the bucolic maze of nearby Central Park, you can tuck into saffron risotto in the French-and-Mediterranean-inspired restaurant Majorelle.
